About Laurie & Linda
Their story began many years ago when Laurie Miller was looking to share her beautiful office with an associate. Linda Weisner was at her computer one day when it went haywire, and Laurie’s ad popped up on Craigslist!
Linda immediately knew she was being given a gift of a home to begin her practice, which turned into so much more for both ladies. They became fast friends and confidantes.
Linda joined Laurie as an executive board member of the International Association of Clinical Hypnotherapy, and it was with pride and pleasure when they merged their two practices together as one.
About Laurie Miller, C.C.H.
Laurie became interested in the hypnosis process in high school and studied the subject long before she became a professional. Having her share of ups and downs in her personal life gave her an added dimension of understanding and compassion that allowed her to become a gifted hypnotherapist over the course of her nearly 30-year career. Laurie passed away in July 2014.
About Linda Weisner, C.C.H.
Linda decided to become a Hypnotherapist after her husband passed away. She felt lost as the life they had planned together was no longer an option available for her. Linda’s children were grown and while she loved and adored them, they certainly didn’t need her to care for them on a daily basis.
As she sat in her HypnoBirthing training class she had a moving personal epiphany. If hypnosis can enable women to have a serene and pleasant birthing experience then it could certainly be of great value to people such as her husband who had dealt with ongoing medical treatments that caused great stress, pain and anxiety. She also reflected on the plight of the caregivers, often exhausted and grieving. She had found a new purpose, opened a new chapter in her life, “knowing” that helping people through hypnosis was what she was meant to do.
As Linda went through her training, she felt an indescribable sense of empowerment. She had found a calling, a career, in which on a daily basis she would have the honor of helping others be all they could be. She became determined to aid people, not unlike her husband, whose journeys are taking uncharted turns, and to witness the unfolding of their self empowerment.
Linda is a firm believer that every day is a new beginning filled with endless possibilities; and the choice is yours as to what you do with those possibilities. Linda’s uncharted journey led her to her passion, hypnosis, and she is deeply honored to have the opportunity to be of service to those seeking to live life to the edge of all that they might be.
