What is Hypnosis?

hypnosisHypnosis is a natural state of mind (not a state of sleep).  It can produce high levels of relaxation of body, mind, and emotions. The principles and theories upon which hypnotherapy are based are accessing and utilizing the power of one’s inner resources.  In other words, you tap into strength that you don’t yet realize you have!

Hypnotherapy can transcend the critical level of the mind.  It facilitates the acceptance of suggestions desired by you. The therapeutic use of hypnosis can also elicit information and insights from the inner mind.

Hypnosis does have a measurable effect on the brain thanks to the ability to monitor brain activity as it occurs.  Stanford University students were shown a black and white pictures while their brain wave activity was monitored.  They were then hypnotized and told the picture was in color and the part of the brain that processes color became active.

I will utilize interviews, discussion and hypnotic methods to deal with underlying issues whenever appropriate.  Our goal is achieving effective and lasting results for you to have your whole life long.
